LinQRS is committed to protecting your private information. This Privacy Statement describes the information that we collect when you visit our website and our mobile application. Your use of our website and mobile application indicates that you agree to our collection, disclosure, and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. This includes all of LinQRS services. It also describes how we use that information and how we collect personal information. TELEPHONE CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT COMPLIANCE

If you provide a cell phone number with your contact information, LinQRS and/or LinQRS providers may dial this number, possibly using an auto dialer, to provide quote information and/or seek additional information in order to provide a quote. By providing a cell phone number, you agree to be contacted at that cell phone number, regardless of whether you or someone else is in possession of the cell phone when contact is made. Entering into this agreement is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.  If you choose to invite friends to download our app, we will collect their email address as well.

 

INFORMATION COLLECTED

Our users may from time-to-time provide us with personally identifiable information. Personally, identifiable information generally means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, your name, home address, telephone number, and email address.

 If you use our website, we may collect information about the browser you’re using. We might look at what site you came from or what sites you visit when you leave us. On our app, we may collect information about your location, including saved locations. This may include your precise location. We may collect this using different types of technologies, including GPS and Wi-Fi. If you use our mobile app, we may also access your device’s location information in the background.  
 

THIRD PARTY ADVERTISERS

LinQRS works with third-party advertisers and other vendors to serve ads and collect data. These may include insurance providers, credit reporting agencies and other data companies. Social media platforms may also give us information about you. For example, we may combine information we get from a third party with information we already have. We may also combine information collected from you on our various platforms.  We may also obtain information about you based on other websites you have visited.   These companies may use information (including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to these and other websites in order to provide advertisements on these sites and other websites about goods and services that may be of interest to you.
 

INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE US

In addition to the information automatically collected by your browser, LinQRS also collects information that you provide to us when you request quote information. For example, we and our business partners use your information to select and provide you with information about insurance products you may be interested in.  We may also use your information to respond to your customer feedback. 
 

Our websites and mobile application provide users with the opportunity to request quote information from insurance providers and brokers. To do this, we collect contact information as well as information relevant to the applicant’s insurability. This contact information is then provided to the insurance partners from which the user has requested quote information.
 

LinQRS may use cookies to store contact information for each user. If the user uses our site or mobile application to make further requests for quote information. Their contact information will automatically be used to pre-populate contact forms. LinQRS also collects customer interest information to determine what information the customer wishes to be sent after using our service. In other words, we may use your information to make our website, mobile application and products better. We might use your information to customize your experience with us.
 

By submitting a quote request, you authorize LinQRS to provide your information to insurance agents, both local and national. You also authorize LinQRS to provide your information to one of our third party agent networks in the event that our primary agent network has few or no agents in your zip code. You authorize these agent networks to share your information with their vendors, suppliers, and insurance carriers in order to generate information for your quotes. By submitting a quote request, you acknowledge that LinQRS service requires you to agree that our partner companies may obtain a consumer report or credit score from a consumer reporting agency (also known as a credit bureau) and that these partner companies do not have the right to obtain a consumer report or credit score without your written instruction which you are granting by clicking the submit button. Accordingly, by submitting a quote request you instruct consumer reporting agencies to provide a consumer report or credit score on you to these partner companies if requested within a reasonable date from the time you submit information to LinQRS. In the event that one of our partner companies obtains this credit information that partner company will not share this information with any other party, including insurance carriers, but insurance carriers may elect to obtain credit information on their own in connection with the quoting and underwriting of the requested insurance. Where permitted by law, some insurance companies or their agents may confirm your information, through the use of consumer reports, which may include credit score and driving record.
 

By submitting a quote request, we might provide you with information, special offers, and advertisements for products. This information may be from or on behalf of insurance providers or other third parties. We might tell you about new features or updates. We might also use your information to serve you ads about products and offers.  By submitting your email address and/or phone number to us, you authorize us to use that email address and phone number to contact you periodically, including by the use of an auto-dialer and pre-recorded messages, concerning your quote requests,  about the website, app or our services and information or offers that we feel may be of interest to you. We may also allow our partners to provide you with information about new products and special offers, including offers for insurance products and services. We will send you push notifications about insurance-related offers and services. We may also send you push notifications for other reasons like friend requests, prompts to view your trips, renewal alerts, carrier rate increases or product updates.
 

COOKIES

We may place a text file called a "cookie" in the browser files of your computer. The cookie will enable us to relate your use of this website to information that you have specifically and knowingly provided. The only personally identifiable information a cookie can contain is information that you yourself supply. HOW OUR INSURANCE PROVIDERS MAY USE THIS INFORMATION

In order to provide you with the most accurate quotes possible, insurance companies may need to obtain additional background information about you. As an example, consumer reports may be ordered in connection with your insurance application. These reports provide information that may assist in determining your eligibility for insurance and the price you may be charged. Consumer reports may also be used for updates, renewals or extensions of this insurance. The insurance company may also obtain and use a credit-based insurance score based on information contained in your credit report. The insurance company may use a third party in connection with the development of the insurance score.
 

YOUR RIGHTS

The company respects the privacy of users visiting our sites and will abide by all applicable laws concerning release of personal information. On occasion, we may use certain directory information that we collect from you to send you information, via direct mail or email, about products and services, or updates and other information that we think may be of interest to you. NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN

Our sites and apps are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 16 without permission from a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child under 16 has given us information, you can email us.
